Hello!
Doesn’t this look good? Thanks to the web designer I have on hand: My husband Tim has much to answer for. Not only is he a creative person he is the chief encourager.
Anyway - now to me... Beginning to believe the instinctive and intuitive creative urges (they keep me awake all hours) are not silly, wasteful or a guilty pleasure but an essential expression of the pinball ideas zooming around my head. You know, I really am allowed to do this? How crazy is that... Well it is for me,
Usually my creations spur me from paper to fabric, tactile, textural explosions of colour and manipulation of anything that comes to hand. A main component is how can I use a box, carton, glass, envelope, plastic or fabric goodie I have retrieved from someone else’s (and more often my own) no longer required pile? If an item can be rejuvenated then my head is busy working out how or why? And would anyone else really care?
I love conundrums. I guess that is why I am always reinventing wheels... A shaft of sunlight. Colour and the way light messes with it is startling and invigorating, so is the way paper and paint, or fabric and dyes, threads and patterns interplay...
Well enough about me for now suffice to say I cannot stop myself from creating quirky, mad, useful or useless items,
I hope you have enjoyed what you have seen,
Cheers
